The estimate is based on a nationwide survey by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTTC) involving 1,202 respondents from May 1-9. At 50.1 billion baht, this is an increase of 2.14% from 2016 when the survey estimated total spending of 49.1 billion baht. Tutoring costs for university students were highest at 14,814 baht per head on average, followed by high school (11,064 baht), primary school (10,740 baht), secondary school (9,740 baht) and kindergarten (8,092 baht).
